TelOne launches two new services

TELONE yesterday unveiled two new services -WIFI Home and Away as well as Pre-Paid Voice Bundles.

This is part of the national broadband project, which is bringing up-to-date capabilities on the TelOne network to give more to the clients, according to managing director Chipo Mtasa.

Speaking during the launch at Runhare House yesterday, Mtasa said:

"This is a development that will provide our clients with the desired flexibility and convenience.

"It is therefore with excitement that we have moved to ensure that our home broadband customers are able to use their credentials to access service at any of our WIFI hot spots countrywide.

"To boost the usage of the service, we have introduced pre-paid voice bundles which have seen our voice tariffs going down by as much as 80 percent and this has made our voice costs being even lower that the cost of some Over the Top service like WhatsApp among others," she said.

Mtasa added that TelOne is on a continuous journey of providing reliable and affordable communication to everyone everywhere in Zimbabwe.

She said they are excited with the completion of the Bulawayo-Beitbridge Backbone Fibre project which is a more reliable and cheaper route linking Zimbabwe to the rest of the world through South Africa.

"We expect this to strengthen our network quality and reliability as well as the capacity to offer cost effective services to our clients."

Mtasa said TelOne had recently recruited 1000 youths brand ambassadors to help educate customers on these new developments.
