Zimbabwe has received huge mining sector inquiries from global investors seeking opportunities in the capital-intensive resources industry.
The two day Zimbabwe Mining Investment Conference has attracted over 400 business leaders.
Speaking on the sidelines of the conference, Chamber of Mines Chief Executive Officer Dr Isaac Kwesu says inquiries about the opportunities are very high.
Central Bank Deputy Governor Dr Khuphukile Mlambo says monetary authorities have also relaxed foreign exchange controls for mining investors.
Mines and Mining Development Permanent Secretary Mr Munesu Munodawafa says the huge attendance by investors bear testimony that Zimbabwe is swiftly capturing investors' interest.
The two day Zimbabwe Mining Investment Conference is being held when the resources sector is seeking US$7 billion worth of capital.
