Platinum output to remain stable

Zimbabwe's platinum output is anticipated to remain stable at 450 000 ounces this year, projections from the WIPC indicate.

In its fourth quarter report for 2017, WIPC pointed out that Zimbabwe's platinum production for the fourth quarter had fallen nine percent to 445 000 ounces, with processing of pipeline material boosting the total for the previous year.

CoMZ president Batirai Manhando said that output was expected to improve as government undertakes deliberate policies to promote investment.
