Scope of Job:
Advise the organisation on any potential risks to the profitability or existence of the company. They identify and assess threats, put plans in place for if things go wrong and decide how to avoid, reduce or transfer risks.

Ideal candidate will be responsible for:
  Setting the vision and strategy for the enterprise risk function working inconjunction with all other executive management across the Bank.
  Provide technical guidance in risk management related to structure and development finance.
  Building a robust risk management framework and architecture for the Institution, bringing together a number of teams (operational risk, stress testing, modeling and analytics) and managing the enterprisewide risk.
  Ensuring a system-wide view and understanding of the combined risks of the business and their inter-relationships (project risk, interest rate risk, liquidityrisk, operational risk, credit risk, reputational risk, regulatory risk).
  Formulating and articulating a coherent risk appetite and infrastructure, including operating and financial models.

Skills and Knowledge
  Strong quantitative skills and ability to develop quantitative models and model governance principles.
  Good knowledge and grasp of banking practices, Basel, IFRS 9 and products at a higher level and awareness of the regulatory framework.

Qualifications
  A Masters Degree in Statistics or Mathematics.
  Minimum 10 years of Risk Management in the banking industry with high exposure to quantitative risk management.
  Exposure to analytics would be an added advantage.
