High powered business delegations are expected in the country this Tuesday ahead of the Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries (CZI) annual congress.

The business delegations from India and Turkey confirms the notion that the nation has a favourable investment climate.

With the progress made under the ease of doing business, it is likely that the delegations will be charmed by reforms as they look for investment opportunities on the sidelines of the CZI annual congress.

CZI president Mr Sifelani Jabangwe said the annual congress has taken an investment forum dimension as a way of promoting foreign direct investment while also learning from countries that have made it.

The annual congress takes place at a time when government is pushing for further reforms in the economy as a way of attracting foreign direct investment through the setting up of special economic zones.

Industrial capacity utilisation has also increased and with the existence of Statutory Instrument 64 of 2016, more companies have increased capacity utilisation while also creating employment opportunities.
