Tobacco Processors Zimbabwe (Pvt) Limited, a leading tobacco processing company has two vacancies In the Safety, Health and Environ mental Department (SHE)
1. SAFETY OFFICER GRADE 32
Overall Responsibilities
• Identify, analyze, evaluate workplace hazards and recommend effective controls.
• Maintain, implement and continue to improve the safety and occupational health management systems.
• Ensure that all SHE facilities are well managed, to meet the organization's policy on Safety and Health.
• Investigate all reported incidents, near misses, serious and lost time accidents and make the necessary interventions.
• Prepare, deliver and evaluate Safety and Heath training and induction programmes for all employees.
• Analyze statistical trends and other leading indicators to assess the effectiveness of the SHE programmes.
• Advise on hazard prevention and control methods, procedures and programmes?
• Manage contractors on site regarding compliance to the Safety requirements.
Requirements
• A degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related qualification.
• Possession of a Safety, Health Advisors Training Course (SHATCOR) or Occupational Safety, Health and Environment Management Course (OSHEMAC).
• Knowledge of SHEQ Management System implementation.
• Knowledge of fire protection and prevention.
• At least 3 years post-qualification experience preferably in a processing environment.
2. ENVIRONMENTAL OFFICER GRADE 32
Overall Responsibilities
• Maintain and implement the Environmental Management System standards.
• Identify, analyze, and evaluate environment aspects and impacts in order to ensure implementation of the management programs.
• Implement the waste management plan which includes waste segregation, recycling and disposal in accordance with the stipulated regulations.
• Prepare, deliver and evaluate environmental training and education programmes for all employees.
• Manage contractors on site regarding compliance of the environmental requirements.
• Implement facility programmes and procedures.
Requirements
• A degree in Environmental Health Sciences or related qualification.
• Possession of a Safety, Health Advisors Training Course (SHATCOR) or Occupational Safety, Health and Environment Management Course(OSHEMAC).
• Knowledge of the Environmental Management System implementation
• At least 3 years' post - qualification experience preferably in a processing environment.
