The Zimbabwe Stock Exchange's mainstream Industrial Index dropped for the second day in row, putting a damper on the earlier string of gains as it lost 19.31 points to settle at 371.31.

Heavyweights were again largely complicit.Beverages giant eased $0, 4063 to $2, 2937, while Hippo shed $0, 1424 to $1, 3025 while Simbisa dropped $0, 0551 to trade at $0, 7400. Also on trading in the red was Meikles, which came off $0, 0200 to end at $0, 3800 and Dairibord closed at $0, 1450 following a $0, 0150 decrease.

Old Mutual led the movers with a $0, 4950 increase to close at $7, 2950 and CBZ was up by $0, 0170 to end at $0, 1799.

Ariston advanced $0, 0050 to trade at $0, 0302 while starafricacorporation and Zimpapers each inched up $0, 0002 to close at $0, 0240 and $0, 0107 respectively.

The Mining Index added 5.42 points to settle at 96.89 after RioZim added $0, 0699 to end at $0, 8000.

The balance of the mining counters were unchanged.
