NetOne Group Chief Executive Officer, Engineer Raphael Mushanawani, has been honoured with the prestigious Business Leader of the Year 2025 award by the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC), in recognition of his transformative leadership in the country's dynamic telecommunications sector.

The accolade was presented at a glittering ZNCC Awards ceremony, attended by prominent business executives and senior government officials, including the Minister of State for Manicaland Province, Advocate Misheck Mugadza. Mushanawani was hailed for spearheading NetOne's remarkable resurgence, characterised by innovation, infrastructure expansion, and improved service delivery.

Since assuming the top post, Mushanawani has overseen a strategic turnaround at the state-owned mobile network operator, focusing on enhancing digital infrastructure, boosting rural connectivity, and rebuilding trust in the company. His leadership has not only repositioned NetOne as a dominant force in the telecoms industry but has also contributed significantly to Zimbabwe's broader digital transformation agenda.

In its citation, the ZNCC described Mushanawani as "a leader who leads with purpose and passion," highlighting his impact not just within NetOne but on the national economy at large.

NetOne issued a statement celebrating the recognition, calling it a reflection of Mushanawani's "extraordinary leadership, unwavering commitment, and visionary strategies that have propelled NetOne to the forefront of Zimbabwe's telecommunications sector."

"This award stands as a beacon of your achievements and the profound impact you have made across the national economic landscape."

As NetOne continues to assert itself in a highly competitive market, Mushanawani's recognition underscores the critical role of bold and inclusive leadership in driving digital progress and sustainable economic development in Zimbabwe.
