Zimbabwe's leading health insurance organisation CIMAS's revenues for FY2013 reached $110,4 million.
The rise in revenue, which was up 12,7 percent from the 2012 figure of $98 million, was driven by growth in both subscriptions to the Society's medical aid fund and attendances to its healthcare services.
"Membership in the medical aid fund grew by 6 percent and attendances at our healthcare services grew by 8 percent. This was achieved in an environment where the majority of our competitors are shrinking," said chairperson Mordecai Mahlangu in a statement accompanying the results.
For the period under review, CIMAS achieved a surplus of $5,5 million, an increase of 25 percent over the prior year surplus of $4,4 million.
