Iflix Africa and Econet media team up to bring subscription video on demand (SVOD) services to sub-Saharan Africa. Iflix is the world's leading Internet TV service for emerging markets and Econet Media's company Kwesé announced they have partnered to bring an unchallenged streaming entertainment service to sub-Saharan Africa.

This partnership is seen to leverage off the rapid increase in internet enabled devices and to address the growing demand for premium quality entertainment. The two companies have deployed extensive resources with the local and international expertise in mobile entertainment to cash on this opportunity. Both companies share the same passion for innovation and a deep understanding of the culture and evolution of digital businesses.

Iflix Africa seeks to offer consumers in the region unlimited access to a range of TV shows, movies and award-winning programs. Hollywood, Nollywood, regional and local programs with over 2000 kid's programs will be offered on the service. There will also be an extensive collection of popular commissioned African sries and movies exclusive to Iflix Africa.
