Duties and responsibilities
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, requires the services of Multimedia Producer to shoot and produce video documentaries on several projects under the FAO Zimbabwe program.

Working under the overall supervision of the FAO Representative for Zimbabwe (FAOR), and with guidance from Subregional Communications Specialist, and ensuring that all communication and information outputs from the mission are in line with FAO's corporate communication policy and operational guidelines, the Multimedia consultant will: Prepare storyboards for documentaries incorporating changes proposed from the technical team; Shoot video and interviews using a variety of focal lengths throughout the assignment to provide close up, medium range, establishing shots, panoramic views and will seek out opportunities for using available light in technically creative ways; Review selected high quality videos and select best ones for the documentary; Prepare a short script capturing the essence of the project's tangible results and the impact on the lives of the beneficiaries. Incorporate changes to script as required; All interviews to be provided in transcript, along with details of name, age, title, location and name language spoken in interview; Oversee the postproduction phase of the video ensuring that, narration, and voice-overs, graphic effects, colour correction and music are all used appropriately; Make available to FAO all footage produced for final selection; provide all original high resolution footage on a hard drive, exactly as it was shot (not compressed or converted); All final videos must include the full Logo-block cover at the beginning of each video for duration of at least 3 seconds. In addition to the logo at the beginning, if desired, it may also be added to the end of the video. All footage shot during the mission remains the exclusive property of FAO. Graphics, music and sound effects should be copyright free; Perform other related duties as required.

Competencies and requirements
Diploma in Communication, Journalism, Film Studies, Scriptwriting, Media studies or related field; Minimum 5 years of experience of producing audio-visual productions; Experience in producing development work related documentaries for international organisations with the aim of reaching both local and international audiences; Experience in working with UN agencies and other international organizations; Demonstrated experience using Creative Suit 5 and above with particular strengths in; After Effects, Photo Shop, Audition, Flash and Premier; Ability to work efficiently in a team while establishing and maintaining effective working relationships in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity.
