Zim firms to exhibit in SA's tourism showcase

Sixty-two Zimbabwean companies have registered to exhibit at the South African Indaba Travel Trade Show next week at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre in Durban, South Africa.

The show will take place from 10 to 12 May.

In an interview, Pure Grit Project and Exhibitions Management chief executive officer and Indaba project manager Zaida Enver said twenty-four African countries would be participating at this year's indaba.

"Twenty-four African countries will be participating as exhibitors at this year's indaba. In total, 1 250 exhibitors have registered for participation at the show".

"Sixty-two Zimbabwean companies will be exhibiting at the annual showcase while 54 have registered as buyers at the trade show," she said.

Last year, 1 467 exhibitors participated in the showcase which displays a wide variety of Southern Africa's best tourism products, and attracts international as well as regional buyers.

The indaba is owned by South African Tourism and organised by Pure Grit Project and Exhibitions Management. For two consecutive years, the Indaba has won the Africa's best travel and tourism show award, presented by the Association of World Travel Awards.

The Indaba brings together a showcase of Southern African tourism products and services for the international travel trade.

Exhibitors' categories in the International Convention Centre (ICC), include accommodation, tour operators, game lodges, transport, online travel, media publications and industry associations.
