Investors shun CMED over cash shortages

Foreign payment challenges obtaining in Zimbabwe have affected investment prospects for ailing State owned Central Mechanical Department's fuel business unit, it has emerged.

While investors are willing to inject fresh capital into the entity, they have reportedly adopted a wait and see attitude as the country is presently facing challenges with processing foreign payments.

CMED's fuel business unit is presently battling in the courts to recover over $2.7 million lost in a botched fuel deal three years ago.
