Minister Kagonye has fired Robbin Vela as chairman of the NSSA board of directors with immediate effect.

Vela was today handed a letter of dismissal by the Minister Of Labour And Social Welfare, Petronella Kagonye.

In her letter, Kagonye said, "Acting in terms of the National Social Security Act Chapter 17:04 Section 8 (a), I wish to advise you that you have been withdrawn as member and Chairman of the NSSA board with immediate effect."

She avoided detailing the reasons Vela was dismissed and continued to simply say, "let me take this opportunity to thank you for the services you rendered to NSSA since your appointment in July 2015."
