The Rainbow Tourism Group (RTG) CE Tendai Madziwanyika has indicated the the Group will open its $32 million Beitbridge hotel in mid January ahead of an official launch scheduled for March.

Madziwanyika said the firm is putting finishing touches to the 140 room hotel which it will be running on behalf of National Social Security Authority (NSSA)

Madziwanyika expressed confidence in the hotel which he said will be anchored on a healthy mix drawn from government, individuals and corporates.

The hotel will also cater for travelers as Beitbridge is a high transit area and the Group is also expecting some significant business from South Africa as the hotel will have a Casino.

RTG was awarded a management contract to run the hotel in July this year and also received a $4.4 million loan from NSSA to get the project running.
