The Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) says it is on course for the completion of the automation project by the end of the first quarter of 2014.

The automation of the local bourse is set to mark the end of the manual trading system thereby improving efficiency and align the exchange with the international best practices.

ZSE CEO, Alban Chirume said the Mauritius based consultant tasked with the rolling out of the project is expected in the country early next month.

"We are optimistic of finalising the automation projects this year. To be specific by the end of the first quarter next year we would have migrated from the manual system to the automated system," he said.
