Insurance summer school opens on Monday

THE Insurance Institute of Zimbabwe 2013 Summer School opens at Montclair hotel in Nyanga on Monday.

IIZ general manager Mr Garikai Dumisani said this year's summer school, which will run from August 25 to 28, has been structured to a learning environment set up where presentations will be spiced up with group work and feedback sessions.

Speakers will include Mr Rodney Manzanga from Aon South Africa, Real Insurance Mozambique, Mr Marcel Wood of Etana South Africa and Mr Loyd Kazunga of NMB Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe Leadership Forum chairman Mr Canaan Dube, FBC Bank's executive director - Retail Banking and e-Commerce, Mr Agrippa Mugwagwa, registered psychologist and managing consultant founding member of the Industrial Psychology Consultants (Pvt) Ltd Mr Memory Nguwi and Insurance and Pensions Commission Josphat Kakwere are among the speakers.

Delegates to the summer school are mainly drawn from supervisors, junior and middle managers as well as other interested persons.

The main aim of the summer school is to provide a platform for training and grooming future leaders in the insurance industry.

Particular emphasis is on grooming leaders who will make things happen, restore the glory of the industry and take the industry to lofty heights from the foundations that the current leaders are laying.
