All is set for the United Nations World Tourism Organisation general assembly in Victoria Falls, with hotels and city lodges fully booked throughout the duration of the event.

The premier tourism event, which is being co-hosted by Zimbabwe and Zambia, has attracted thousands of delegates and holiday-makers from all over the world, with accommodation now scarce in the resort town.  

Big hotels such as Kingdom Hotel, Rainbow Hotel and small lodges were by Friday evening fully booked, with some visitors resorting to pitching up tents to ensure that they attend the all-important tourism event in Africa.

Restaurants seemed overwhelmed by the huge turnout for the conference which was set to start yesterday and run for the entire week.
