SOS Children's Villages Zimbabwe is a member of SOS International - a worldwide children's social welfare organization, providing children who have lost parental care or are at risk of losing parental care with a caring family and secure home.

Besides children in our direct care, SOS Children's Villages Zimbabwe has established family strengthening programs in Chitungwiza, Bulawayo and Shamva. The Programme supports children in difficult circumstances. The Organization works as a development partner with communities and the local authorities. SOS Children's Villages also runs schools, kindergartens and a farm.

The Association is seeking an experienced, reliable and task-oriented Executive Assistant. The Executive Assistant will report directly to the National Director and will be responsible for performing a number of administrative duties including preparation of Board packs and processing of Board Minutes.

The ideal candidate should be a highly self-motivated professional, and capable of managing their work load and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced corporate environment/organization.

Responsibilities and duties will include
Coordination of executive communications, including taking calls on behalf of the National Director, responding to emails and interfacing with co-workers, children and other stakeholders; Preparation of internal and external Association documents for International Office and other stakeholders; Preparation of Board Packs and processing of  Board Minutes; Scheduling meetings and appointments and managing travel itineraries; Arranging Association events which take place outside  the work place, such as fund-raising events and other SOS events; Maintenance of an organized filing system of  both paper and electronic documents; Upholding of strict levels of confidentiality; Developing and sustaining a high level of professionalism with co-workers, management and stakeholders

Qualifications and experience
Minimum of 4+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant reporting directly to the National Director or Chief Executive; Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with an ability to become familiar with firm-specific programs and software; Proficiency in collaboration of duties; Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities; Exceptional interpersonal skills; A degree in Administration/Business management/Office management will be a definite advantage
